Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Prevention Program

Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) have problems with concentration, hyperactivity, and acting impulsively. Caring for children with ADHD can be tiring and stressful for the family.

In a series of three newsletter on ADHD offered by Corphealth, you will find suggestions for working with children who have ADHD. You will also find information about how families of ADHD children can better deal with stress.

Early Recognition of Post Partum Depression Prevention Program

Between 50-80% of women become depressed after giving birth. For most women, these "baby blues," or feelings of sadness, disappear after a few days. For 10-15%, these gloomy feelings linger and turn into post partum depression.

Post partum depression is much more serious than the "baby blues" and can affect a mother's ability to take care of her child. Luckily, it is a very treatable problem.

Corphealth offers helpful information for pregnant women and women who have recently given birth. In this material, you will find the symptoms of the "baby blues" and post partum depression, as well as the risk factors for developing one of these problems.

If you are a provider/practitioner that is treating a Corphealth member that has been diagnosed with ADHD or a member that is pregnant or recently delivered a baby and would like to receive paper copies of our preventive health materials, please contact Corphealth at (866) 279-7214.
