Accessing Care

The Corphealth Helpline is a toll-free call center. Corphealth responds to members and providers with live voice response 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays, 365 days a year. By providing a live answer response, without recordings or menu options, members are assured that service is prompt, personal, confidential and efficient.

Customer Service Representatives, (CSR) are the first voices you talk with when you call the 800 number at Corphealth. CSRs are ready to assist with a variety of issues and to perform multiple functions in a professional and helpful manner. Whether you are calling to verify benefits and eligibility, get a list of providers in your area, or check on claims status, a Customer Service Representative can assist you.

If it is necessary for you to talk with a licensed clinician, the Customer Service Representative will transfer your call to a Clinical Care Manager. This professional will conduct a telephone assessment and provide you with recommendations regarding treatment options. Potential services include:

Early intervention to deal with problem situations

Information about how you can access care

Information about the scope and limitations of your behavioral health benefits and your eligibility status

Assistance in selecting network providers and the appropriate level of care

Ongoing Care Management Services

Emergency Situations

If you or a covered family member are in a life threatening situation, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital. The hospital will contact us through the 800 number on your benefit card, and a licensed professional Corphealth staff member will become involved. In consultation with hospital staff, the Corphealth care manager will authorize the appropriate level of care. Depending on your benefit plan, it may be necessary for you to be transferred to a facility that is a member of Corphealth's network of provider facilities.
